We are currently looking for theme suggestions for Mental Health Month
in the ACT for 2020!

Please note, all theme suggestions are put forward before a committee who decide on the winning Mental Health Month ACT theme each year. You will be contacted if your suggested theme is chosen. The winning school will receive special mention on the Mental Health Month ACT website and social media.

Guidelines
Who can propose a theme for Mental Health Month ACT?
Schools and organisations situated in the ACT can propose a theme for Mental Health Month ACT.
We encourage students and colleagues to work together to devise a theme.
What should we consider when creating a theme?
Your theme can draw on lived experience or simply offer a fresh idea for a concept that will underpin Mental Health Week 2019 in the ACT.
When should our theme be submitted by?
Please submit your theme idea via the 'theme suggestion form' above by 5pm Monday 22nd of April, 2019.
How do I know if our theme was chosen?
If your theme was chosen you will be contacted at the end of April 2019.
How else can our school get involved in Mental Health Month 2019?
We encourage schools in Canberra and surrounding areas to get involved in Mental Health Month and help raise community awareness and understanding of mental health, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and promote positive mental health and wellbeing.
Your school or organisation can get involved by;
1. Hosting an Mental Health Month event. You can apply for a Reimbursement Grant of up to $1000 to host an event in October during Mental Health Month. Reimbursement Grant applications open April 4, 2019. Find out more here.
2. Volunteering, performing or busking at the 2019 Mental Health and Wellbeing Expo. Find out more information about the expo here. Express your interest to busk at the expo here.
3. Nominating exceptional people and initiatives working to promote and improve understanding, awareness, service provision, and the general mental health and wellbeing of the Canberra community for a Mental Health Month award. Find out more here.
