About the event

SiTara’s Story invites you to attend the ‘Our Children, Our Future” Conference on 30th October at 11 am.

Children  and families from culturally diverse groups have a lot of inability to  communicate with each other that leads to escalation of family  conflicts. They may have more difficulty finding health care providers  or be at risk for higher rates of medical or mental health conditions.  The impact of multicultural factors on children's mental health has not  yet gained much attention in Australia even though the country has  experienced a high surge of migration.

We  believe conversation is the best tool we have today to address this  issue. This conference is open to all as the topics covered are targeted  to all those interested in multicultural issues, mental health,  inclusiveness, and wellbeing.

Proudly  supported by Mental Health Community Coalition, ACT, Go Equal Gender  Equity Consulting, and Initiatives for Women In Need (IWiN) this  conference aims to start the conversation about the mental health of  culturally diverse young people and provide strategies to support the  parents and young people to minimize the intergenerational gap.

An exciting agenda includes youth mental health and involves amazing speakers and panelists.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Register today. Seats are very limited.
