17 Oct 2022, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

The English Garden, 36 Robert Boden Grv, Yarralumla ACT 2600, Australia

About the event

Canberra may be "the Bush Capital," but tucked away in Yarralumla there is an English Garden -  home to some unusual and otherworldly trees. Explore magical and whimsical qualities of towering oaks, pines and cedars. Walk in the cool shade whilst breathing in the scent of resin and earth.

Contrary to counting our steps or getting from A to B, this walk is all about slowing down, mindfully taking-in our surroundings, and appreciating the little details - effectively "bathing" in nature. This walk is suitable for all abilities. For access information, please contact wellbeing@landcareact.org.au.

"Look at a tree, a flower, a plant - let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in being. Allow nature to teach you stillness " - Eckhart Tolle
